Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky is set to miss Wednesday's Champions League match against Milan due to an ongoing knee ligament problem.

Rosicky has been struggling with the inflammation of his popliteal ligament since the end of January.

The 27-year-old Czech international did not appear in Saturday's 4-0 FA Cup defeat against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

"I cannot say anything new about my injury, the treatment goes on. The popliteal ligament is not healed, I cannot play matches so I continue in the recovery. I must be patient," Rosicky said.

His agent Pavel Paska, meanwhile, said he was unlikely to feature in the Milan game.

"Most likely, no. Tomas is still in the recovery process," he said.
