Coventry chairman Ray Ranson has revealed he is close to appointing a new manager.
Iain Dowie and members of his backroom staff were relieved of their duties last Monday, with Frankie Bunn placed in temporary charge for the 5-0 defeat at the hands of West Brom in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
But Ranson told Sky Sports News on Sunday night: "We're moving in on things.
"We've been doing a lot of work and have taken our time but I'm very confident of filling the management chair in the next 48 hours - maybe tomorrow, with a bit of luck."
Premier League Wigan turned down Coventry's request to speak to their assistant manager Eric Black last week.
