Chelsea defender Paulo Ferreira has signed a new five-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
The Portuguese international full-back joined the Blues in 2004 and has since made 130 appearances, scoring one goal.
But with the summer signing of Juliano Belletti and the departure of Jose Mourinho earlier this season, speculation had begun to mount over where the 29-year-old's future lay.
Those questions have now been answered, and the long term nature of the new deal means Ferreira is now likely to end his career with the Blues.
"I am delighted to commit my long-term future to Chelsea," he told the club's official website.
'The fans have made me very welcome since I have been at Chelsea and I enjoy my football here a lot.
"We have had a lot of success and I am hoping we have more over the coming years."
