Barry Hawkins triumphed in the Pro Challenge Five event in Liverpool with a 5-1 mauling of Michael Holt in the final.

Hawkins recorded runs of 65, 123, 62, 52 and 53 in his five winnings frames to ease to victory.

Holt pulled the score back to 2-1 with an unanswered break of 77, but that was as good as it got as he racked up a total of just 76 points in the others.

Hawkins had scraped past Adrian Gunnell 5-4 in the semis while Holt disposed of Daniel Wells by the same scoreline.

Hawkins was too good for Stuart Bingham in the last eight - winning 4-1 despite his opponent claiming the only century break of the match, a 132 - while Holt also won 4-1 against Peter Lines.

Fergal O'Brien and Dave Harold were whitewashed by the tournament winner and Nottingham cueman respectively in the last 16.
