Half-time blast sparks Glovers turnaround

Gary Johnson admitted there had been some stern words at half-time after his Yeovil side came from behind to see off Colchester 3-2.

The U's, aiming for a third win on the trot, led at the break through Steven Gillespie but goals from Dean Parrett, Lawson D'Ath and Andy Williams turned the game in the home side's favour.

Martin Rowlands then scored a free-kick to reduce the deficit for the visitors in the closing stages after Kieran Agard had been sent off.

Johnson, who masterminded a fourth win since returning to Huish Park, said: "We were poor in the first half. We didn't get going.

"It was a 'shrinking violets' sort of thing. We needed to get the first goal. Every time we seem to have the first four or five chances but we miss them and the opposition cash in.

"We got some spirit in the second half and came out entirely different. To score three goals is great but it seems we have to score three to win games."
