Scotland international Russell Anderson will be staying on loan at promotion chasing Plymouth Argyle until the end of the season.The Sunderland defender, who has been at Home Park since mid-February, has extended his initial one-month deal that expired after Saturday's victory at Bristol City.
The 29-year-old has played seven times for the Pilgrims, and his excellent form has earned him a recall to the national squad for their friendly against Croatia next week.
The former Aberdeen centre-back will be the subject of a 24-hour recall by the Black Cats.
