Hull striker Henrik Pedersen believes goals from midfield can be the key to a successful push for promotion from the Tigers.Midfield men Bryan Hughes and Dean Marney were on target during the 5-0 thumping of Southampton on Saturday, with the Dane chipping in with his second goal in three games.

The Tigers are currently fifth in the Championship, with eight games remaining, and Pedersen is hoping to get more help in front of goal.

"It's important to get the midfielders to score a few so that the pressure isn't always on the strikers," he told the club's official website.

"That gives us a greater threat all over the pitch.

"It's also been good to get a couple of goals recently," he added.
