Scunthorpe manager Nigel Adkins could be tempted to enter the loan market if he needs to add a new right back to his squad.Adkins has had to make do without a recognised replacement for Cliff Byrne, who has been sidelined since February 12 through injury.

The Irishman has been forced to rest up after twice being kicked on the leg fracture he initially sustained in November and is still several weeks away from a return to action.

Adkins has been forced to play central defender Izzy Iriekpen out of position in recent matches and Jack Hobbs, on loan from Liverpool, has also stepped in.
