Gray pens Quakers deal extension

Assistant boss Martin Gray has extended his deal with Darlington until June 2011 and follows Dave Penney in staying on for another three years.Gray took up a coaching role at the club seven years ago after ending his playing career in Durham and is looking forward to continuing his good relationship with boss Dave Penney as the Quakers push for promotion.

He told the club's official website: "I think that Dave and I make a really good team. We have very similar philosophies on the game, which is great.

"Our results this season have been the culmination of a lot of hard work behind the scenes, building a squad capable of challenging for promotion."

He added: "I believe that Darlington Football Club is as ambitious as I am and that is one of the main reasons I was pleased to extend my contract and my working relationship with Dave Penney."
