Tue 18 Mar, 06:30 PM

Bury boss Alan Knill remains fully confident of safeguarding the club's League Two status following their recent run of rich form. The Shakers have struggled for the majority of the season and Chris Casper paid the price with his job in January.

Last month, Knill left his post as Chesterfield assistant manager to take the helm at Gigg Lane, where as a player he made 159 appearances between 1989 and 1993.

Knill - who has guided the club to three wins in their last four games - said: "Full credit to the players because they have taken on board everything we have asked them to.

"I have to say that the games we have lost we could have easily won and most importantly, our fate is all in our own hands."
