LONDON (AFP) - Chelsea boss Avram Grant is confident that the goals will soon begin to flow once more for misfiring strikers Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka.

Anelka has only scored twice since his 15-million-pound January transfer from Bolton while Drogba has found the net just once since returning from the African Nations Cup last month.

Grant would love the pair to hit the goal trail again this week in crucial Premier League matches at Tottenham on Wednesday and at home to Arsenal on Sunday.

But the Israeli was reluctant to say as much publicly on the eve of the Spurs clash. "I'm not worried as long as the team are scoring goals," he said.

"Anelka, when he played against West Ham and against Derby, played like a team player. We won because of him. He played well.

"If he plays well and the team scores four or six goals, it's still good even if you do judge strikers by goals.

"I'm sure he and Didier will score goals. Our game is that we play with three forwards and the players behind come forward and provide goals. The team score, not one player."

Chelsea will be seeking for revenge for last month's League Cup final defeat at the hands of Spurs, although Grant insisted that contest had no relevance for Wednesday's meeting of the two sides.

"In that game at Wembley, we didn't play," he said. "My team, even if we'd won the Carling Cup, would have wanted to win this game. It's a league game. We have the mentality that we want to win every game we can.

"We take every game seriously, even in not important competitions. We've done a good job in the league and we want to win this game."

Grant went on to insist that he had not been surprised by the resilience which has enabled Chelsea to get right back into the title battle.

"We won many games at the right time," he said. "We're back. We were in the race all the time, but now it's more clear.

"I think it is an interesting season for us. It is a season when a few of our important players got injured after they'd been in very good shape.

"Then some others went to Africa. In that time, we actually won a lot of games to put us in a position where we can do good things."
