John Toshack has given four uncapped players the opportunity to force their way into his senior Wales squad.
The Wales boss named goalkeeper Boaz Myhill, defender Ashley Williams and midfielders Owain Tudor Jones and Brian Stock in his squad for the friendly in Luxembourg on March 26.
With a catalogue of injuries to contend with, and calls from the under-21s, Toshack will take the chance to look at some new faces in an experimental squad.
On the same night, Brian Flynn's under-21s will be playing Bosnia-Herzegovina in a European Championship qualifier in Sarajevo, and that has seen Toshack send back goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey and full-back Chris Gunter to boost their chances.
The youngsters need two wins from three matches to win their qualifying group, which would mean a play-off early next season to see whether they can reach the Sweden finals in 2009.
Toshack said: "The Bosnia game does take priority, I have told the younger players they could be required for that one. They understand what we are trying to do.
"That means I can have a look at a few new faces. Myhill has done really well for Hull and they could well get into the Championship play-offs.
"He can also play for the USA and England, but has finally chosen Wales, with his mother from Llangollen.
"Stock has been doing well at Doncaster and they could also get promotion. I have also called up their defender Stephen Roberts, another who has impressed.
"He got his one cap in my first game as manager against Hungary, and about all he did was come on for a minute and kick the ball out of play before the referee blew his whistle. Maybe he deserves another crack.
"And I have been to see Ashley Williams play for Stockport and he too could have something to offer. Tudor Jones, who has been so unlucky with injuries, also deserves a chance."
Toshack has left out striker Robert Earnshaw, the 26 year-old having had a difficult season at Derby. But after 13 goals and 39 caps, the former Cardiff player is sidelined from a squad for the first time since his scoring debut against Germany in 2002.
Toshack said: "I have had several chats with 'Earnie' over the last 12 months, and it has been a difficult time for him. I am taking the opportunity to look at other options."
Wales have also banned eight of their under-21s from playing for their club sides on Easter Monday. UEFA regulations say players must be with their national squads three days before a competitive match.
