Barcelona have no explanation for Ronaldinho's latest injury after an MRI scan showed now specific injury to his troublesome right leg.
Ronaldinho missed Barcelona's 2-2 draw with Almeria on Sunday and the Brazil star limped out of a Monday training session after only six minutes.
Scans have since showed no muscle or ligament damage to the offending adductor and boss Frank Rijkaard has opted for a "specific treatment" to deal with the problem.
"As a result of a persistent problem in the adductor muscle of the right leg, the player has had a scan which revealed there is no muscle or tendon injury," the club said on their website.
"The player will receive specific treatment to solve the medical problems that remain."
The 27-year-old, who has experienced a slump in form and motivation in recent seasons, is expected to miss Barcelona's Copa del Rey semi-final second-leg with Valencia on Thursday.
