Rotherham are set to find out whether or not they will be granted a two-week extension before going into administration.
The ruling will be made on Tuesday at Leeds Crown Court, and if an extension is not granted the Millers will go into administration immediately, which would prompt an automatic 10-point deduction in League Two.
The club previously went into administration - and incurred a 10-point penalty - two seasons ago, and are thought to owe hundreds of thousands of pounds to the Inland Revenue.
The South Yorkshire side currently occupy the last play-off place in League Two, but a loss of 10 points would send them into mid-table.
But in a further twist, if they can avoid going into administration until March 27, the 10-point penalty will be postponed until next season.
