Beckford back to boost Leeds hopes

Fri 18 Apr, 04:00 PM

Leeds' top scorer Jermaine Beckford is expected to return to manager Gary McAllister's starting line-up for the league clash at Millwall.Beckford missed the midweek West Yorkshire derby defeat at Huddersfield due to an ankle injury sustained in last weekend's win over Carlisle, but has recovered so Tresor Kandol is expected to make way.

But Leeds will be without suspended skipper Jonathan Douglas, sent off after receiving two yellow cards against Huddersfield, so David Prutton is likely to return to the side.

Defender Alan Sheehan is available again following suspension and will be pushing for an immediate recall, while Neil Kilkenny will continue to play on while nursing a sore ankle.

Leeds, looking to bounce back from their midweek disappointment in pursuit of the last play-off place, have lost just one of their last seven league matches.
