Owusu may return for Glovers

Fri 18 Apr, 12:45 PM

Yeovil manager Russell Slade is waiting on the fitness of striker Lloyd Owusu ahead of the daunting trip to promoted Swansea City.Owusu was one of few players to emerge from last weekend's 3-0 defeat to Crewe with any credit, but he was stretchered off with an ankle injury late on against the Alex.

Initial fears of a break were allayed by an X-ray after the game and he returned to training on Thursday and has an outside chance of being fit for the trip to the Liberty Stadium.

Midfielder Matty Rose is still a doubt with the thigh injury which ruled him out against Crewe, while young full-back Craig Alcock is unlikely to feature because of an ankle injury.

Paul Warne is still out with his broken leg, but goalkeeper Steve Mildenhall is fit to keep his place after returning in the defeat last weekend after two months out with a knee injury.

The Glovers are five points clear of Gillingham, who currently occupy the final relegation place, but with a visit of Leeds and a trip to Nottingham Forest to follow the clash with the Swans, they could face a nervous end to the season.
