Pearce doubt ahead of Robins clash

Fri 18 Apr, 03:00 PM

Port Vale manager Lee Sinnott could be without on-loan Birmingham defender Krystian Pearce for his relegated side's trip to Swindon. The 18-year-old limped out of last week's goalless draw with Huddersfield with an ankle injury and is not expected to resume training until Friday - making him a major doubt to face the Robins.

Sinnott has also suffered another blow with the news that goalkeeper Joe Anyon will miss the rest of the season after straining his knee in training.

Anyon's absence from the side means Chris Martin is set to be between the posts for Vale's remaining three games.

Striker Luke Rodgers is still battling to overcome an ankle injury, while Robin Hulbert (shoulder), Kyle Perry (thigh), Shane Tudor (knee) and Colin Miles (knee ligament) are also set to miss out once again.
