Robins duo ready to take on Stoke

Fri 18 Apr, 02:45 PM

Lee Johnson and Jamie McAllister are both expected to be fit for Bristol City's crucial Championship clash at automatic promotion rivals Stoke.Midfield lynchpin Johnson has been sidelined for just over a month with ankle and heel problems.

Left-back McAllister was a doubt earlier in the week after he limped off at the end of the goalless home draw against Wolves with a hamstring problem.

City manager Gary Johnson told the club's official website: "They are both coming along okay and are probably in line for selection.

"They both certainly want us to think of them in terms of selection and it is up to us to see whether they are fit enough to play."

The Robins' promotion charge has faltered in recent weeks and Johnson's side head to the Britannia Stadium with only one win from their last eight matches.

Kick-off: 5:20pm.
