Ipswich Town midfielder Velice Sumulikoski has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a shin injury.
The 26-year-old Macedonian international has suffered a partially torn artery in his shin and is likely to have surgery next week.
"Shumi has a tingling sensation in his foot and around his toes and we have been investigating the cause," physio Matt Byard told the club's website.
"The surgeon will indicate what is the next step but at the moment we are moving towards an operation, probably next week, which is likely to mean he will be out of action for around three months."
Sumulikoski has made 14 appearances for Ipswich since arriving from top-flight Turkish outfit Bursaspor in the January transfer window.
Sumulikoski joins David Norris and Richard Naylor on the sidelines, as the East Anglians prepare for Saturday's game away to play-off rivals Wolves.
