Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson is set to recall striker Craig Mackail-Smith as he seeks a win at Hereford which would confirm promotion.

Mackail-Smith has been out since the draw with title rivals MK Dons last month with hamstring and sciatica problems but has been eased back into training and is fit to resume his 49-goal partnership in attack with Aaron Mclean.

Liam Hatch will make way for his return while Claude Gnakpa will be hoping to oust Adam Newton from the right-back spot despite talks on a contract extension breaking down.

Defenders Shane Blackett (thigh) and Kieran Charnock (knee) are both definitely out as Ferguson looks to mastermind a first win at Edgar Street in 18 years.
