Flavio Briatore has stepped up his attack on the Brawn team, after slamming the former Honda drivers in Shanghai.
Now, the Renault boss has turned his attention to team owner Ross Brawn, who is currently the head of FOTA's technical committee.
Italian Briatore, in charge of commercial matters in the F1 teams' alliance, said he will propose that FOTA replaces Brawn at its next meeting.
Asked by the Daily Telegraph who he would prefer in the role, Briatore answered: "Anyone is better, even the first Chinese taxi driver you see in the street."
Briatore is furious about Brawn's victory in the rear diffuser controversy, claiming the situation has cost most Formula One teams millions and compromised F1's credibility.
To Italian reporters in Shanghai, he said he will also be proposing that the commercial income due to the Honda team in 2009 should be distributed to the other teams rather than Brawn.
F1 Chief Executive Bernie Ecclestone commented: "I don't know what Flav is on about. Ross has done a brilliant job, and as for Button being slow, he is now showing what he can do with a fast car."
"If anyone has been slow it has been the other teams and I don't think we should be hearing them complaining when the tables are turned. They have all had their bright ideas down the years which needed official scrutiny."

Flav can have a lot of clout!Watch out Brawn.
No argument with you there John,
From SS_A9X: "Renault should be thrown out of the Chinese GP for Flavio's racist attack on the countries taxi drivers."
Agreed but first we need to pitch all the racists on this board over the side for their unending attacks on Hamilton.
I suppose it takes a blow-hard like Briatore to make Ecclestone seem thoughtful and reasonable.
superspex (N°8), your idea is brilliant, as you're obviously starting to understand Mosley's favourite game. And Briatore is either an idiot (contrary to some popular belief, he's not precisely brilliant) or playing for Max's camp. For those who know Flavio a bit, second hypothesis makes sense... and first one nevertheless remains valid!
Flavio and his decisions and public statements are an embarrassing problem for Renault and their image. It is amazing that they did not realise it earlier, but it is now reaching a really worrying level.
Here's an idea - the FIA and Ernie's crowd, by declaring the diffusers legal, are using a divide and conquer policy to maintain their grip over the FOTA and the whole F1 circus which currently shows no unity or mutual solidarity.....just a thought
What a loudmouth jerk
Renault should be thrown out of the Chinese GP for Flavio's racist attack on the countries taxi drivers.
Ron Dennis leaves, and Flavio steps in to take his place!
Flavio the greasey ITALIAN IDIOT should learn to accept defeat and work on his car.
I am not surprised by this attack, anyone is mates with Fernando Alonso is bound to be an idiot.
It's just Flavio talking nonsense to get a few headlines and divert attention away from the trouble he's in. He's got a car that isn't good enough for Alonso, he's got Piquet who isn't good enough even in a bad car, and he's got Renault breathing down his neck about the money he'll need to get Alonso competitive again. I don't think all the money in the world will help with his second driver though (unless it can buy him a better one).
Yep, Bernie is actually right for once.
Good grief, this has happened for a while. I agree with what Bernie Ecclestone says!
