South Korean international striker Lee Dong Gook has no regrets over his disappointing spell at Middlesbrough. The frontman is set to leave Teesside after failing to score a single Premier League goal since joining Boro from Pohang Steelers in January 2007.
Many believe he should have left the club after the first season, but the 29-year-old believes the last 18 months was time well spent.
"I was at Middlesbrough for 18 months and it was a meaningful time," Lee told the Korean media.
"I don't think that it was wasted time. I did my best. I got some good experience and have no regrets about my time in England.
"Wherever I go in the future, the time I spent in England will be a big help."
