Inter Milan secured a third straight Serie A title with a 2-0 win at Parma on Sunday, but city rivals AC missed out on a Champions League spotNeeding to better Roma's result against Catania, Inter were under pressure after their title rivals took an early lead while they struggled to break down Parma.
But Zlatan Ibrahimovic's goal after 62 minutes regained the initiative and his second after 79 minutes made certain of a third straight league title.
Roma, meanwhile, conceded a late equaliser as they drew 1-1 in Sicily.
Mirko Vucinic had put them ahead after just eight minutes but Jorge Martinez's 85th-minute strike earned Catania the point that secured their top-flight status.
The other main issue to be decided on the final day was who would claim the final Champions League berth, and it went to Fiorentina as Pablo Osvaldo's 15th-minute goal earned them a 1-0 win at Torino.
Milan came from behind to beat Udinese 4-1, but the Viola's victory means they will have to make do with a place in the UEFA Cup next season.
Giandomenico Mesto put Udinese ahead but goals from Alexandre Pato, Filippo Inzaghi, Cafu and Clarence Seedorf at least ensured Milan went out on a high.
