Megson expresses McCann fears

Sun 18 May, 12:30 PM

Bolton manager Gary Megson is concerned that injured midfielder Gavin McCann could be unavailable for the start of next season.McCann played a crucial role as the Trotters avoided Premier League relegation in their 2007/08 campaign.

However, Megson has revealed that McCann has been playing with a knee injury and the former Everton, Sunderland and Aston Villa man is to fly to America to undergo checks.

And Megson accepts that McCann will be facing a tough task in recovering fitness ahead of the next campaign.

"He has been playing with a problem for a while," Megson said in The People. "He has got floating bone."
