Chesterfield's new signing Robert Page looks set to be named Spireites' captain next season by manager Lee Richardson.Richardson believes the experienced defender - who has played 42 times for Wales - is the man to lead his side to push for promotion to League One in the new campaign.

Page has signed a pre-contract agreement and will put pen-to-paper on a a two-year deal when his contract at Huddersfield comes to an end in June.

Richardson told the Derbyshire Times: "I never decide these things until nearer the start of the season but Robert is in pole position for the arm band."
