Chairman Graham Simpson insists Watford are "moving in the right direction" as preparations for next season's promotion push get underway.Boss Adrian Boothroyd admitted after last week's play-off semi-final defeat against Hull that he expects to oversee a summer of change at Vicarage Road.
Simpson has since played down speculation Boothroyd could the leave the club and is adamant plans are being put in place to ensure the Hornets are betting equipped to return to the Barclays Premier League next term.
"What we are going to do now is quietly and efficiently go about our business over the summer, because there is a great deal of hard work ahead of us in the next few weeks as we implement our plans for next season," said Simpson.
"The club is in very good shape and we intend to remain that way.
"It is time for change and I believe this will be a very positive way forward for the club, which I emphasise is still healthy and moving in the right direction."
