Trollope considers loan deals

Sun 18 May, 03:45 PM

Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope admits he could opt to send some of the younger members of his squad out on loan for first team experience. The Pirates boss fielded nine players under the age of 25 for his side's final game of the season at Leyton Orient but feels shipping his more inexperienced players out on loan could yield long-term benefits for the club.

"It is good to give the young lads a short spell of regular football because if they do well it gives them a bit of impetus," said Trollope.

"We have already had a number of Blue Square Premier clubs contact us about some of our younger players.

"If we manage to get the (new) players that we want over the summer, then some of the younger ones could go out on loan."
