UEFA Cup - Lucescu: We'll do our talking on the pitch

Shaktar Donetsk coach Mircea Lucescu is certain his side can beat favourites Werder Bremen in the UEFA Cup final.

"We feel confident about our ability to win the competition and we shall prove it on the pitch." Lucescu said.

Shaktar goalkeeper Andriy Pyatov added: "Weak teams don't reach the final stage of the UEFA Cup. Shakhtar have come a long way and deserved the right to play in the final."

Meanwhile, Werder Bremen coach Thomas Shaaf believes his team can beat Shaktar - even without influential playmaker Diego.

"We will badly miss Diego in Istanbul, but we have a big enough team to win the cup," he said.
