Abbott poised for Graham talks

Mon 18 May, 05:50 PM

Carlisle boss Greg Abbott will meet with striker David Graham on Tuesday in a bid to convince him to sign a new deal with the club.

Out-of-contract Graham was offered a two-year deal at the end of the recent campaign, but has yet to commit to the Cumbrians and Abbott is keen to get the 23-year-old tied down at Brunton Park.

But Graham, who has scored 40 goals in a little over 100 appearances for the club, is thought to be waiting to find out if any other clubs are interested in him.

"We`re going all out to try and get Danny Graham to sign his contract," Abbott told the club`s official website.

"I`ve already spoken to him twice since the season ended and there was good feedback on both occasions. There are a number of clubs bound to be interested, but we can`t say how many of those clubs have him on their priority wish list.

"We just don`t know the answer until we talk to Danny and find out what he has to say."
