Motherwell have handed two-year contracts to young defenders Shaun Hutchinson and Jonathan Page.

Hutchinson, 18, who was signed from the highly-regarded Wallsend Boys Club in 2007, made his first-team debut in Saturday's 3-0 win at Hamilton, while former Portsmouth trainee Page, 19, has been involved in several first-team squads this season.

Meanwhile, Motherwell announced they will play Wigan in a pre-season friendly at Fir Park on August 8.
