Leicester are interested in signing Bristol City goalkeeper Chris Weale.
The 27-year-old is set to be out of contract at Ashton Gate and has yet to be offered a new deal by the Championship club.
Weale finished the season on loan at former club Yeovil, who have been linked with a permanent move for the player.
However, the Glovers face stiff competition for his signature after Leicester chairman Milan Mandaric revealed Weale is a target for the League One champions.
"It is no secret to our supporters, who we are quite open with, that we need a good goalkeeper," Mandaric told the Leicester Mercury.
"He is one of the targets our goalkeeping coach has got. He got very big positive marks when we saw him, so he is one of our targets."
