Bolton manager Gary Megson has accused relegation-threatened Hull of trying to influence referee Peter Walton to get captain Kevin Davies booked at the weekend.
Megson claims a member of the Tigers' backroom staff went into the official's room at half-time to complain about Davies.
"I was getting a little bit annoyed with what was going on. I know a member of Hull's staff went into the referee's room and was moaning about Kevin Davies." the Wanderers manager told The Bolton News.
After the interval, the Bolton captain was involved in the major flashpoint in the 1-1 draw when his tackle on Andy Dawson in front of the dugouts provoked a furious reaction from the Hull bench.
Tigers assistant boss Brian Horton had to be restrained by a police officer but Megson claims the protests had started long before then.
"He's as honest as the day is long and I don't take kindly to any bench, not just Hull's, trying to get him booked to gain an advantage."
Davies was also not impressed by the conduct of Hull's backroom staff.
"The way their bench over-reacted was disappointing," he said.
"I'd heard they had been on to the ref at half-time saying I was leading with the elbow. That shows how desperate they were."

Kevin Davies is a committed, 100% player, who goes into a tackle. He's not dirty, just soft teams can't cope with him and that's why we love him! How he hasn't won an England cap by now is beyond me. European defenders just wouldn't know how to cope. John Terry's said as much in the past. Get back to the Championship Hull and continue moaning about your owner and manager who've got you to the top flight for the first time in your history. Disgraceful!
DAVIS IS WELL KNOW TO BE A DIRTY PLAYER JUST LOOK AT HIS RECORD
megson is doing wot a manager should and sticking up for his player, just how fergi defends ronaldo for diving etc. davies is a physical player, football is a physical, contact sport, stop moaning about him and learn how to cope with him. Phil Brown wasnt moaning when davies was part of his sqaud when he was assistant at bolton.
Dirty yorkshire tikes
oh my word, i was there in the away stand mate, he went in with a high tackle and knew it, you turned your back and walked away knowing he should be booked for it, what a load of c**p, you were bickering at the linesman every 5 minutes for tackles!
Should have been 3 points for us! Bolton were lucky...
Would help if you could spell Biggest Peter! I guess it's something Hull have never been described as though, so I forgive you!
MEGSON NEVER MOANS
Come on Megson you are the bigest moaner in football
