Miller gets Ireland call

Mon 18 May, 01:15 PM

QPR midfielder Liam Miller has been called up to the Republic of Ireland squad to face Nigeria in a friendly.

The match will be played on Friday, May 29 at Craven Cottage.

Miller joined Rangers on a short term contract and has made 13 appearances for the club during the current season.

The midfielder will no doubt be using the friendly as an opportunity to impress manager Giovanni Trapattoni in the hope that the manager will include him in the final squad for the World Cup Group B qualifiers against Bulgaria next month.
