Oyston on DJ hunt

Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston insists the club remain focused on signing DJ Campbell and Charlie Adam on a permanent basis.

Leicester striker Campbell and Rangers midfielder Adam played key roles in keeping the Seasiders in the Championship after joining on loan in the second half of the season.

Oyston told the Blackpool Gazette: "Of course we want to keep DJ and Charlie.

"It is important that while we will give it our absolutely our best shot to sign them that we don't get too fixated on individual players.

"However, I do think it is important to have a smaller but better squad in place next season."

  1. Before going after DJ & Charlie surely the most important thing at the moment is who is going to be manager, as it seems that Tony Parkes who should have been given the job as soon as the season ended is not happy with the terms offered him. So if he does not take the managers job will DJ & Charlie want to come. Although some of the names in the frame have got good credentials, I do think continuity is the key.
