Huddersfield goalkeeper Alex Smithies is doubtful for England Under-19s' three European Championship elite-round qualifiers later this month.

The 19-year-old hopes to join up with the squad on Friday, but is struggling with a shoulder problem.

England, who face Bosnia at Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium on Wednesday May 27, Slovakia at Bradford the following Friday and Scotland at Bramall Lane on Monday June 1, hope to progress through to the eight-strong final stages in Ukraine in July.
