Bradford boss Stuart McCall made his third signing of the summer on Wednesday afternoon after Paul Arnison penned a two-year contract.City beat off competition from Darlington and Port Vale for the 30-year-old right back, who was released by Carlisle at the end of last season.
McCall told the Telegraph & Argus: "Paul wants to be involved in a successful side and we're delighted to have got him."
McCall was without a senior right-back after releasing Darren Williams at the end of the season
Arnison made 139 appearances for the Cumbrians after joining them from Hartlepool and was a regular when they won the title in the bottom division two years ago.
Arnison, who started 11 games last season, becomes City's third summer capture following Chris Brandon and goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin.
