Coventry City boss Chris Coleman has signed goalkeeper Keiren Westwood from League One side Carlisle United in a £750,000 deal. The 23-year-old joins on a three-year contract and is City's third signing of the close season following the arrivals of midfielders Guillaume Beuzelin and Aron Einar Gunnarsson.
Manager Chris Coleman insists the keeper is ready for the step up to the Championship.
"We're delighted that Keiren has chosen to join us at Coventry," Coleman told the club's official website. "He is an excellent young goalkeeper who has all the credentials to be a huge success here.
"He's a big confident lad, he's very agile and he is exactly the sort of player we are looking to bring in."
Westwood made 153 appearances for Carlisle over four seasons after being released by Manchester City in 2004.
