Cooper pens new Cherries deal

Midfielder Shaun Cooper has committed his future to Bournemouth by agreeing a new two-year deal at the Fitness First Stadium.Cooper has played over 100 times for the club but was out of contract at the end of last season.

The 24-year-old was closely linked with a move to Crewe, but he rejected the Cheshire club in favour of extending his four-year spell on the south coast.

Chairman Jeff Mostyn told the Club's official website: "Having spent the majority of the day in dialogue with Shaun and his agent I was thrilled to receive confirmation that Shaun had agreed to remain at Dean Court.

"This is a clear indication of our commitment to retaining the players that completed the season in such magnificent fashion."

Lee Bradbury, Brett Pitman and Ryan Garry have also agreed new deals with club. Bradbury has agreed a new one-year deal while Pitman will remain at Dean Court until 2010.
