Ben Hamer will begin the season as Brentford's first-choice goalkeeper following his loan switch from Reading. The 20-year-old had two spells at Griffin Park last term and returns on a season-long loan having been promised the gloves by manager Andy Scott, who has made Simon Brown available for transfer.
"Ben made a few mistakes during his two spells last season, but you can expect that from an inexperienced keeper and he will learn and move forward from that," said Scott.
"He comes in as my number one and it is his position to hold onto."
