Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws is hoping to sign one of two Premier League targets on a long-term loan deal for the Owls. The Owls manager has spoken with two top-flight managers about taking a midfielder on a season-long loan and is confident of bringing one of them to Hillsborough in time for pre-season training.
Laws said: "I've enquired about two players from the Premier League. We're looking at a long-term loan and I'm hoping to tie things up for one of them.
"I'm waiting to speak to the manager and should be meeting with the player as well.
"I'm hoping it will be sorted out before we get back in for pre-season training on June 30."
Laws also revealed he was still looking to strengthen other areas of his squad, but added he "may have to move one or two out" due to the club's restrictive transfer kitty.
