Flashmans Papers, a 100-1 shock winner of the Windsor Castle at Ascot on Tuesday, is likely to bid for a quickfire double at the meeting in Thursday's Norfolk Stakes.
Trainer John Best reports the speedy juvenile to have come out of the first race in fine shape and hopes he can confirm there was no fluke about that victory in Thursday's Group Two dash.
Best said: "He seems fine and although we'll wait to see how he is in the morning, he'll probably run in the Norfolk.
"I told a few people beforehand that he was certainly too big a price in the Windsor Castle and we were expecting him to run very well.
"I thought my other runner Mullionmileanhour might be the likelier one but the draw bias worked against him and he was five lengths down on the stands side horses at halfway.
"But I never thought Flashmans Papers was a no-hoper and we had deliberately given him a break after his last race to make sure he strengthened up a little bit.
"He was showing us loads of pace in his first two races but wasn't quite getting home possibly, but the break and fast ground helped him.
"He doesn't have the best of draws in the Norfolk but there aren't so many runners in that so it shouldn't matter too much."
Mullionmileanhour finished third in the Windsor Castle but will not take his chance in the Norfolk.
However, Best will have two chances as Elegant Cad is also set to run.
"Elegant Cad has a better draw than Flashmans Papers and I might slightly favour him - although the weather could affect that," he added.
"We think Elegant Cad might be a little better with some cut in the ground.
"Mullionmileanhour won't run. He's fine really but has slightly sore shins.
"If he'd been drawn on the other side on Tuesday I don't think there would have been much to choose between him and Flashmans Papers."
