Premier League - Real Madrid deny fax claim

Real Madrid have denied media reports suggesting they have faxed English clubs a list of players that are available for transfer.

It has been reported that Madrid have contacted a number of Premier League outfits to make them aware of which players are up for sale as the Spanish giants look to make room for the host of new signings they are set to make this summer.

However, Madrid have dismissed those claims in a statement, declaring: "Real Madrid want to categorically deny said information."

A number of players are expected to leave the Bernabeu this summer though, with new club president Florentino Perez saying earlier this month that around 10 of the senior squad could be moved on.

That clearout is to accommodate the huge summer spending spree that Perez has sanctioned to get Madrid back among the elite of European football, with the club looking to bring in around six new faces.

The first of those, Brazilian ace Kaka, is already in the bag following his £56million move from Milan, while Cristiano Ronaldo`s world-record £80m switch could have moved a step closer with Spanish media reporting that his agent Jorge Mendes was at the Bernabeu on Wednesday to finalise contract details.

The reports also suggest that Ronaldo could undergo his medical with Madrid next week before being presented at the end of the month, although there is nothing official from the club yet regarding the Portugal international.

Another player being closely linked with Madrid is Valencia striker David Villa.

Villa revealed after playing for Spain in the Confederations Cup on Wednesday that he had already taken a decision about where he wants to be playing his club football next season and said that his agent was working on achieving that aim.

Villa, who has also reportedly attracted the interest of Barcelona, Manchester United and Chelsea, did not reveal what his decision was, but Marca and AS both believe it is Madrid who are his top choice.

  3. Could someone explain to me how a club half a billion in debt is able to splash the cash on Kaka and Diverman? Shouldn't they be going into administration, being relegated and having 30 points deducted from next season's total. Does M. Anglophobe (erstwhile excellent footballer - now fat and overfed - Michel 'Plate of fries would do me nicely') know about their wage structure. Seems like he's got a lot to say about the English game: probably because the French League is about the equivalent of our Blue Square North. Ha!

Real are going to lose several players like robben and van der vaart. They will probably end up at ManU, because no world class player wants to go there given the fact that the manager is a donkey. Remember that saying ``I wouldn`t sell them a virus``.

  5. correct!!! real madrid do finish players careers, thats because they buy these players for merchandise income, not because of there talent on the pitch....the team wins nothing, the players lose confidence.....then the team gets rid...lol...this will happen to kaka, ronaldo....robben, huntalaar....van nistelroy and everyone else that makes it big elsewhere, then goes to this shower of %^&*(.....real madrid simply just want to rid the premiership of all there best players so the spanish league can become the best so called league again!!! that is what this is all about

  6. Real Madrid are the majority fan base in South America. It was said that when they signed Zidane that inside the first year they sold enough jerseys with his name on them in South America to cover the cost of the deal. Real do not sign their players by how much they are worth on the pitch, but by how much they are worth to the club financially.... Expect the spending spree to keep flowing thick and fast.....

  8. I think the only reason bids haven't been flooding in for Robben isn't because of his injury prone status, but because most people believe he is over 30 due to his receding hair line....

number 10, you got @#$% for brains and memory, your club must be the shitest club to play for, in 1997, ronaldo signs contract extension and your poxy club go and sell him two weeks later, the way you treated maradona, ronaldhino, romario and rivaldo is clear for everyone to see, wait till madrid pisses all over you next season, hala madrid

  12. Where is Getachew44????????? You say that Barca treats their players bad. Well look at how madrid is treating their players. Huntelar, he only stayed for 6 months and he is already getting the boot, and I did say that Huntelar would not make it more than a year. Robben destroyed his career in madrid, most of the time he was injured, and 2 months that he starts playing good, madrid gives him the boot, he was better off staying in chelsea. Look at all the dutch players they all getting the boot. Van Der Vart he is a good player, he came to madrid to destroy his career buy warming the bench. Mark my words, madrid is a career killling place, every player that goes to madrid will kill his career, and I guarantee you that the coach Pelegrinni will not make it more than a year, but I give him 6 months. Wait and see both kaka and ronaldo will hit the back door after a year, they will destroy their careers and madrid will give them the boot, just like they did with ronaldo, figo, beckham, owen, mekelele, andd others. I can't wait for madrid to go bankruped. They could buy any player they want, but they are not going to buy the best players in the world, because Barca has the best. For ronaldo, there is MESSI who is a billion times better, for kaka, there is INIESTA who is a billion times better. Kaka and ronaldo are not team players, they only care about money and fame for themselves. Imagine this, the capitan raul, not being able to tell kaka and ronaldo what to do, because they will not listed to anyone!!! Imagine kaka, ronaldo, raul, casillas fighting with eachother????? Who would the club listen to, ronaldo and kaka who gives them fame, capitan raul who spend a long time and gave a lot to madrid, or would they listen to casillas who is the best player madrid will has and will ever have???? We saw the last galacticos, remember in 2006 bernambeu, when the galacticos got destroyed by Barca 0-3 and madrid fans chanting "RONALDINHO," and clapping for Barca playe
