Higgs thinks big

Thu 18 Jun, 03:36 PM

Bristol Rovers chairman Nick Higgs believes the club are strong contenders for promotion next season.

The Pirates begin their League One campaign at home to Leyton Orient, but it is their last two games against Norwich and Leeds that could prove crucial, according to Higgs.

"All three teams could be pushing for promotion and there could be a lot to play for," he told the club's official website.

"It is going to be a tough league this year, but if we can get the signings we are looking for I think we can be there and challenging.

"We have already brought in Carl Regan and intend to add a few more faces to the squad before the season starts."
