Swansea left-back Marcos Painter is looking forward to returning from injury to face Leicester on the first day of the season.

The 22-year-old was out for much of the last campaign with cruciate ligament damage but cannot wait to make a comeback in his native Midlands.

"Leicester will be a tough place to start the new season," said the defender, who hails from Birmingham, told the club`s official website.

"They will have a point to prove having just come up from League One as champions, just like we did 12 months ago, but I'm sure all of the players will be up for it.

"It's always nice to go and play games in the area that you're from and even better to go there and get a result."
