Sheridan sounds warning

Thu 18 Jun, 11:11 AM

Chesterfield manager John Sheridan is under no illusions as to the challenge facing his side this season.

Sheridan will take charge of his first game when the Spirites visit Torquay on the opening day.

The former Oldham manager said: "The first four or five games look quite difficult for us.

"It's obviously a long trip first up - ideally I would have liked a home game but it's a good start. If we go into every game thinking it's going to be tough and treat every match the same then we'll be ok."

"The last match is at home against Bournemouth and it would be nice to finish here on a high. I've said it before though, it will be a tough season."
