New Celtic assistant manager Mark Venus is looking forward to a "mind-boggling" time at Parkhead.
Venus arrived with manager Tony Mowbray and coach Peter Grant from West Brom as the new Celtic management team this week. The former Wolves and Ipswich defender, who was assistant to former Portman Road team-mate Mowbray at Hibernian before they moved to the Hawthorns, anticipates some different experiences in Glasgow.
"It is a massive club with great tradition and we are excited and looking forward to it," he told Talk Sport. "Obviously I've been in Scotland and watched a few Celtic games on European evenings and Old Firm games but to be part of it will be mind-boggling."
He added: "Let's hope we can build something to shout about.
"It's a different mindset, a different challenge, and the expectations are higher than at any other club we've been at but that's part of the reason we are going."
Venus did little to dampen down the expectations of Celtic fans, who believe they will be treated to a better style of football than under previous manager Gordon Strachan.
He said: "We only know one way to play and sometimes it might have been to the detriment at West Brom and we lost points but the bottom line is, it's what we believe in.
"It's what we played at Ipswich and other clubs so we've got to give them what we know and hopefully we will give them players to compare with others who have played for Celtic."
Venus believes the emotional pull of Celtic, where Mowbray played for four years in the 1990s, proved too much for the Teessider.
"It was a far bigger decision than people realise," he added. "I don't think he would have left West Brom for anyone else. Tony had a lot of affection for the fans and the players at West Brom and everyone was great to him."
