Aston Villa have been forced to postpone their first away match of the new Barclays Premier League season because of European commitments.
Martin O'Neill's side had been scheduled to visit West Ham on Tuesday, August 18 but will be involved in a Europa League play-off first leg that week on either August 19 or 20.
Villa, who begin the campaign with a home game against Wigan on August 15, will have their first away league match instead at Liverpool on Saturday, August 22.
But that could be put back 24 hours if Villa have to play in Europe on August 20 rather than 24 hours earlier.

villa need to spend big on 6 players!!and not buy has beens or non proven youngsters!!o niel can you handle big signings??...prove you can!!
where are the signings of the world class players??? sorry to say MON aint got a clue abt signing proven big names, signing some 17yr old kid aint gonna make us compete with the big 4, we need people at their peak now not in 5yrs time, with ashley young off to chelsea or real marid for 25million
this time villa should take this cup serouisly not like last time then get knocked out of it again
i think it all depends on the player, if he wants to stay or go and how much he trys to push for it. he is replacable.
Don't worry Charlie! Ashley Young will be going nowhere! HOLTE ENDER TIL I DIE! UP THE VILLA!
Let's hope Villa play Liverpool with Ashley Young, for MON's sake !
