Serie A - Inter show Capello interest
Inter president Massimo Moratti has hinted that he would consider appointing England manager Fabio Capello as the club's new coach.
Leonardo's decision to join Paris Saint Germain has left Inter searching for a new coach for the third time in the space of a year and the club have already been turned down by former Chile boss Marco Bielsa.
Moratti has ruled out appointing Carlo Ancelotti and has played down speculation that Fiorentina boss Sinisa Mihajlovic could be a target.
However, when asked about Capello by Gazzetta dello Sport, Moratti responded: "Who doesn't like him?
"I am looking for the right coach for Inter. A person who won't change the team a great deal and will try to win everything."
Capello, who is contracted until the end of England's Euro 2012 campaign, was questioned about the reported interest from Inter on Friday and said he firmly was in the dark.
"I am in Marbella, in the sun, with my grandchildren," Capello said.
"I am not aware of what is being said as in my house, my grandchildren have taken over the TV. They make the decisions regarding the TV and watch Walt Disney."

There is no Cloughie around, So be it we need the Pimpernel..very evasive crossing the borders, the invisible man with the frangrance from his pipe or some novelists who can rewrite the ' The Forty Steps' which we can read while travelling through the ' splendid' countryside of England.
i believe theres only one person who would stand any chance of sorting out the flucking mess our national team is in at the momment.and i dont like saying this because i dont like the guy,but thats saf.id like him to have a go.but whats that ol saying, you cant make a silk purse out of a pigs ear.
"Holland has 18 million inhabitants, Wales and Scotland have together about 7. England is still the greatest nation in the world. This precious stons set in the silver sea, this plot, this earth, this realm, this England."
You're joking, right?
English fans have pride and passion.....I just wish some of the players felt the same.
we need a english manager i think rednapp could do a better job but the player arnt @#$% they just for some reason dont work together or dont like to
All the English daggers are out again... they will replace Capello with Harry Rednapp or Stuart Pearce.. God, these people breed mediocrity...
Capello Won what 2 La Liga, 4 Serie A, Champions Legaue.. he even won the serie A with Roma ... Harry Rednapp has won that fantastic FA cup and has coached Pompey but English fans think he is better than Capello. Of course, Capello offense is that he doesn't suck up to the journalists...
Bottomline is that England won't ever do well unless they get rid of the rubbish: Terry, lampard, Rooney and play people on merit. Now on that count I also blame Capello

No 14, you could not have stated it better. You took it right out of mouth. Well said. You make a lot od sense. Keep up the truth. The English fans may not like it but who cares. We must not be afraid to say the truth and if someone does not like it, tough luck.
He ought to go. England don't deserve him. Every manager is world class...until they come to manage England!!!! Why? Because England players are rubbish - a proven fact which English fans stubbornly refuse to countenance despite glaring evidence.
Is Capello or indeed Sven at fault for England not winning anything since 1966! Oh I forgot, it is foreign players. Apparently there are no foreign players in Scotland and Wales(both roughly the size of Holland by the way...that's why they have such fabulous national teams.
lets be honest about this, the ONLY reason capello is still the manager of our national team is because our governing body couldnt afford to sack him after the WC, the contact was such that he had the FA by the b.alls the minute he had he's "get out" clause taken out of his contract just before south africa. since then he has just gone through the motions with the players, the FA and the fans.......
what a ridiculous situation for all concerned.
*no 9 - that's so true.england senior squad just not good enough.lets hope england's u21 squad can achieve something. go FRANCE! .LOL
Capello is a world class manager but as a national coach its not quiet working out. However a lot of you might not know but Capello was Milan's boss and I was wondering if Milan fans would be happy if he did go to Inter? I think he will go but it would leave England with a problem with finding a new manager. Obviously the first choice would be Harry Redknapp but would Spurs fans what him to go right now?
Hes definitely not shown an ability to adapt the English team and change that mentality which is running through the squad. Bar, Cole, Rooney and Crouch the rest of the old guard need to go, or at least not to be automatically given the shirt...
Not many Capello fans I see. The funny thing is many of you England fans will be saying the same thing about the next England coach. I will not be surprised at all if the next England manager doesn't achieve much success with England and like all his predecessors he will have all the same criticisms . Eriksson has probably laughed all his ribs off by now cos the fact is that he's been the most successful manager England have had since 1998. Capello is a great manager and England fans are acting like there's many others better out there. Been hearing this same England whinges since before Eriksson's era.

I heard raymond domenech is spending his holidays in England
MAybe the FA should give a call
Capello has hardly brought England's game on in terms of mentality, skill or tactics, nor has he revamped a squad full of underachieving players and lost pride.......... The man welcomed with open arms in the beginning will unfortunately be no loss to the national team now.
The FA would do well to start looking at the next generation now, and there is no clear indication that Stuart Pearce is able to take over the mantle either - given the lustless performances by the U21 players in Sweden right now and his own dubious team choices/ tactical decisions.
England not only needs a grass-root change to the way football is developed, and the way it is taught and played but also needs chiefs in place to oversee this - namely the schoolboy, youth international and full international coaching teams..........
YES YES YES YES YES YES DO IT!!!!!!! PLEASE FFS PLEASE
please take him
now that is good news
bye bye crappello
