New chief executive Alastair Saverimutto has warned Bournemouth fans that it will take time to stabilise the club on and off the pitch.Saverimutto and Paul Baker of Sport-6 have invested a seven-figure sum, which they hope will help the club exit administration and be given their Football League share ahead of the new season.
Despite the club's relegation to League Two, Saverimutto wants higher attendances, greater season ticket sales and more lucrative commercial contracts with an announcement about a new shirt sponsor due next week.
And he believes an immediate return to League One is unrealistic but is targeting two promotions and a place in the Championship in the next five years.
Saverimutto told the club's official website: "It would be great for me to say we can get back up to League One next year, but reality tells me we have a business to stabilise and financial longevity to put in place and we'll be putting a team together to meet those objectives.
"The plan is an embryonic from where we are now and we're aiming to reach Championship level in five years."
