Yeovil Town boss Russell Slade has vowed to do all he can to ensure the Glovers are competitive in League One this season.Slade currently has a squad of just 17 and is without a permanent goalkeeper with three weeks to go before the opening fixture at home to Walsall.
But the manager is looking at a number of trialists and considering a move for Fisher Athletic's Gavin Tomlin.
Slade told the club's official website: "We know that we have a small squad and that there is lots of work to be done both on and off the pitch before we start the season.
"There are a few other clubs in the same predicament as us and it's not ideal, because in an ideal world you want all your squad together and working together from the first day of pre-season but it's not like that this time.
"However we will do all we can to make sure that we have a competitive side come the start of the season."
